7 Essentials
There are 7 essential practices that you can implement into your life and home so you can thrive in your walk with Christ. Some of these, are part of your daily routine, while others are more seasonal. The daily practices we call THE BIG 3. They are PRAY, BIBLE READING, and FAITH-TALK. The other four (WORSHIP, CHRISTIAN RESOURCES, SERVICE, MISSIONS) may be more weekly or seasonal, however there's nothing stopping you from practicing all of these on a daily basis. As a dad it can get quite complicated, because for you it may mean giving attention to the 7 ESSENTIAL PRACTICES for yourself personally, with your spouse, and with your children. It requires a mindset that saturates all of your life - like that of Deuteronomy 6
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Impress them on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
