In April of 2006 Pastor Mark Holmen was asked to be one of the keynote speakers at a Sr. Pastors conference sponsored by the Willow Creek Association in Calgary, Canada. On that day over 600 Sr. Pastors gave a standing ovation to the Faith@Home message with over 400 of those pastors choosing to attend the workshops Pastor Mark would lead later that same day. It was a defining moment for the Faith@Home movement that has now spread to eight countries. Faith@Home resources have been translated into six different languages and in February of 2009 Pastor Mark and his wife Maria heard the call to leave his position as Sr. Pastor of Ventura Missionary Church to be full time missionaries to the Faith@Home movement.
One of the blessings that God provided was the opportunity for Pastor Mark to serve as a missionary underneath the banner/ministry of the Missionary Church Western District based out of Moorpark, CA. The MCWD provides a 501C3 covering that also includes a District Superintendent and board of directors that Pastor Mark reports to for accountability and support. In addition to this, Pastor Mark has formed a team of board members and ministry advisors from all across the US and world.
From the very beginning God provided “angel investors” who have provided the majority of financial support that has been needed to support Pastor Mark, along with his wife Maria who serves as the Business Administrator, as well as a part-time Social Media Director. In just three years God has used this small team to launch, serve and sustain HIS Faith@Home movement across the US, Canada, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Norway, South Africa, the Netherlands and New Zealand.
It has become increasingly clear that additional missionaries are needed to serve, sustain and expand this incredible Faith@Home movement yet Pastor Mark and his board agree that expansion will only occur when/if God provides the resources. An incredible ministry growth plan exists that would expand the Faith@Home team and spread the Faith@Home movement to many more countries, hundreds more churches and thousands more parents.
