			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As you know, Satan has been at work for many generations to slowly and methodically take Christ and Christ-like living out of the home. The Faith@Home methodology is God’s response yet it is not a quick fix thing and as your missionary I want to be able to continue to provide support and encouragement to you as you wrestle with how to become more Faith@Home focused.</p>
<p>One of the things that God has opened a door for me to be able to provide is monthly online coaching for Sr. pastors, children’s ministry leaders and youth ministry leaders. Beginning this fall, at a monthly time yet to be determined, Sr. Pastors, children’s ministry leaders and youth leaders will be able to tune in to live, interactive, online coaching sessions targeting Faith@Home issues and topics unique to each of these ministry areas. These coaching sessions will be one hour in length and will include a “guest practitioner” who will also speak into the topic. Essentially here is how the coaching sessions will work:</p>
<ul>
<li>First 15-20 minutes – I will introduce the topic/issue and provide my insights on this topic and why it is one of the key issues we need to address.</li>
<li>Next 15-20 minutes – I will introduce you as the “guest practitioner” who will provide your insights/ideas on the topic.</li>
<li>Final 15-20 minutes – I will lead a Q&amp;A time where you can ask questions relating to the topic or anything else you have need of.</li>
</ul>
<p>Please <a href="http://www.faithathome.com/coaching/church-leader-coaching/">register</a> today for online <a href="http://www.faithathome.com/coaching/church-leader-coaching/">Church Coaching</a></p>

<p>JUNE 10-12, 2010 - MALIBU, CA</p>
<p><img class="alignright" src="http://family.pepperdine.edu/images/conference-logo-small-for-web.jpg" alt="" width="175" height="106" /></p>
<p>The Family of Faith Network Conference is designed for church leaders, specifically ministers and lay leaders who are responsible for strengthening families and reaching out to the family through the local church. Individuals and couples wanting to strengthen faith development in their families are also encouraged to attend.<br />
Desiring to strengthen family ministry in the church, Pepperdine University’s Boone Center for the Family hosts the second annual Family of Faith Network Conference. The theme of this year’s conference is spiritual development and faith formation in the family. The Boone Center for the Family has carefully selected each speaker based on their reputation and commitment to excellence in their field.<br />
The <a href="http://family.pepperdine.edu/faith/conference/workshops.htm">workshops</a> and <a href="http://family.pepperdine.edu/faith/conference/keynotes.htm">keynotes</a> will enhance your ability and commitment to developing spiritually vibrant families. The conference enables you to identify areas of strength and growth in your family and in your ministry, as well as learn new techniques, philosophies, disciplines, and rituals designed to set families on the path to authentic faith and sacred households.<br />
Pepperdine provides an ideal setting to rest, renew, and refocus while developing new networks for ministry and exchange. You will have the opportunity to network and fellowship with leaders in the growing field of family and faith development. We look forward to your participation as we draw near to the heart of God and seek His solutions for the challenges of our time.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Thank you for attending the Faith@Home church seminar! You are probably wondering what to do next? Well here are a few next steps for you and your church.</p>
<h3>Step 1</h3>
<p><script type="text/javascript">// <![CDATA[
var host = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://secure." : "http://");document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + host + "wufoo.com/scripts/embed/form.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));
// ]]&gt;</script></p>
<p><script type="text/javascript">// <![CDATA[
var w7x3s5 = new WufooForm();
w7x3s5.initialize({

'formHash':'w7x3s5',
'autoResize':true,
'height':'457',
'ssl':true});
w7x3s5.display();
// ]]&gt;</script></p>
<h3>Step 2</h3>
<p>Go through the followinq questions individually and then discuss them with your church team.</p>
<ol>
<li>How does this Faith@Home message/challenge impact you personally? What are some things you need to do to become a more Faith@Home focused individual, mom, dad or grandparent?</li>
<li>How focused is your church on Faith@Home currently?</li>
<li>What are some things you can do in your specific ministry to make it more Faith@Home focused? What are you going to need to pull this off?</li>
<li>What are some things you can do in your overall strategy as a church to make it more Faith@Home focused?</li>
<li>Who do you need to get “on board” with the Faith@Home vision and methodology?</li>
<li>What should you call your Faith@Home initiative? (Remember, language matters.)</li>
<li>How do you envision launching your Faith@Home initiative?</li>
</ol>

		<description><![CDATA[You already have the information you need to be a good dad. You cannot say it wasn’t given to you. God has consistently and repeatedly told you, in His Word, what you need to know and do to be a good dad: Do not covet, do not commit adultery, do not steal, lie, cheat, defraud, etc. Love God, love others. Forgive as you have been forgiven. Do not worship other gods. Don’t swear, murder or discredit others. Do I need to go any further?

The key word in 6:1 is “observe.” “Observe” is more than just watching. It means accepting and actively engaging and participating in. It’s like when you get pulled over for speeding and you say to the police officer, “I didn’t know what the speed limit was,” which never works for guys by the way. You knew the speed limit. You simply chose not to observe it. That is what most dads today do. It is not a lack of knowledge or understanding of what to do. It is knowingly choosing not to observe what you need to do that is the problem. Unfortunately, as you know, if you continue to not observe the speed limit, it’s just a matter of time until you pay the consequences. It’s the same with being a dad who does not follow God’s way, except that the consequences are multigenerational and eternal. As a dad you have only two options: living your life God’s way or your way. It’s a choice every dad faces. What is your choice?]]></description>

A campaign consists of drilling down on one aspect of Faith@Home that provides more of a major focus rather than a shotgun approach. Our intention is to encourage and reinforce a habit each time we have a campaign.</p>
<p>For example, our first campaign was Praying@Home, in which we encouraged each home to be a 7-5-2 family where everyone in the home committed to pray for their family members 7 times a week, pray with their family members 5 times a week, and for spouses to pray with each other twice a week after sharing intimate and detailed prayer requests. We had close to 9,000 people make commitments to be a 7-5-2 family for the following 120 days. We provided prayer calendars for all of our grade school kids in which they could mark each time they prayed for their family, each time they prayed together as a family, and when mom and dad prayed together.</p>
<p>Another campaign was our Serving Together campaign where once again we asked everyone to commit to be involved in at least one serving project a month for the following 120 days. We then provided a list of serving opportunities in which family members of all ages could minister together.</p>
<p>A third campaign was Blessing Your Family, in which we encouraged family members to affirm one another.</p>
<p>During each campaign, we provided printed materials with specific information such as recommended books and CDs. In addition, at least one message on the topic was preached in each campaign and commitment cards were distributed that called for the specific commitment in writing.</p>
