Well, you can be overwhelmed right now or you can just get started somewhere doing something of what God has commanded you to do. To be honest…getting overwhelmed is not an option. Getting overwhelmed is like saying to your child “since I think I might fail at this or don’t want to look foolish in front of you or I don’t have time to add ONE more thing to my plate, then I am not going to try at all.” Sorry, not acceptable. It doesn’t matter if the only thing you start with is saying a blessing before a meal EVERY time you eat. Or asking your child when they jump in the car EVERY day, “Hey, any blessings God showed you today?” Or waking them up EVERY morning with a small prayer of thanks for the day that is to come. Did you catch what was key? EVERY. When the journey begins between you and your kids, it has to be intentional. Without the intent, without the non-negotiable behavior, without the “stick to it” determination, it will fall away like all great things that start on a Monday with gusto and end on Saturday with a fizzle. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Well our Free Trial went very well. Tim gave us some insight into what a Faith at Home Coaching Session will be. He also shared his “PeanutButter” and Sticky Faith – great stuff.

The two winners of Mark’s Faith Begins at Home Books were: Lisa Hart and Dean Butterfield, congratulations your books will be in the mail by weeks end.

Scripture Tim shared
Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are sitting at home or walking in the street, talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder. Inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates. Deut. 6:6-9 MSG

And part of St. Patrick’s Breastplate Prayer that was also shared:
Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

Thanks to all who joined and if you missed it stay tuned – we will have more coaching sessions for F@H Parents next month and coming this fall F@H coaching for Pastors.
