When it comes to teaching our kids to “be careful to obey” we need to “be careful to obey”, but not to the point that we lose the forest through the trees. None of us are perfect therefore we can’t require perfection from our kids. We need to create a home environment where we are continually learning how to be more careful and more obedient. It’s a continual process. Mia Angelo has a famous quote that says “When we know better, we do better”. I am a firm believer in that saying because doing better requires knowing better first. If I want my kids to live a more obedient/Godly life then I need to help them KNOW a more obedient/Godly life.
