Why become a Faith@Home focused church/pastor? Reason #1

For the past ten years God has blessed me with the opportunity to speak to thousands of church leaders regarding what it means to be a church focused on faith at home Yet, the question I hear most often is—“What do I have to do to get my pastor on board with this?” Let me answer that question speaking from the place of a former Sr. Pastor who knows what it’s like to have many people telling you what you should get “on board” with. Here’s why you should consider becoming a Faith@Home focused church and pastor.

Faith@Home is not an overhaul but a 2% shift. Many pastors have shared that one of the most surprising things was the fact that becoming a faith at home focused church was a revolutionarily simple shift. John Trent describes it as a 2 degree shift. In other words, by being just two degrees off we can end up far off course over time, which describes where we are today with the fact that less than 10% of Christian households pray, read the Bible or engage in any type of family worship or service in the home. Yet the good news is in the fact that we don’t need to make a 180 degree change to fix the problem, we just need to make a 2 degree shift and we will be back on the right course! Pastor, becoming a faith at home focused church does not require a complete overhaul to how you do church, it’s simply a 2 degree shift that will have long term impact. Pastor, would you like to lead something that is going to outlast you?
